I remember seeing this Economist Magazine cover (the one on the left) in September 1988, and thinking to myself nice of them to tell us, and that I would be in my 50's. Thirty three years later, here we are.
Look closely at the image on the left. It shows money burning, a Phoenix rising out of the ashes with a coin on it, and the year is 2018. They missed by a few years, but basically right. Today we have money printing and inflation now rising rapidly, and talk of digital currencies.
