I found this video extremely interesting, especially if you understand computer programming, and looked up the Greek and found it to be true in terms of the language. I think many of our other posts support this theory.

The second link is the Greek translation. Sure enough, Hex is the word used.
The third link goes to a computer webpage and there you can read: "The use of the MAC address is one of the most important aspects of the Ethernet LAN technology. MAC addresses use hexadecimal numbering.
The fourth link is to a patent that would appear to be tied into all of this.
