Comment: Food (and water) are fundamental to life. 6 days without water or 40 days without food usually will do people in. After just a day or two, peoples attitudes can start to change, and often times in a bad way.
Consider
1. Purchasing some extra food for the pantry. It's what people have always done in the past. It's also what nature naturally does. Be like a squirrel.
2. Start a garden. Even if is one Tomato plant. If you don't have land find a friend who does and work out a partnership. They have land so you buy the seeds.
3. Get to know your local farmer. Most communities still have a few local farmers or homesteaders. Get to know them. Buy what you can from them, things like eggs, meat, veggies, etc. You support them and they support you.
